Lamar Jackson Returns to Ravens Practice in October

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, still recovering from a sprained left ankle, participated in limited practice on Wednesday. Despite returning to the field for the first time since his injury 17 days prior, his involvement was minimal due to his physical condition. He displayed a noticeable limp while walking around the team facility and in the locker room after practice. Ravens coach Jesse Minter noted that Jackson, the two-time NFL MVP, is eager to play but must be sufficiently healthy first.
Jackson sustained his injury on October 4 during a game against the Tennessee Titans and has missed two games and six practices since. In his absence, backup quarterback Tyler Huntley stepped in and experienced mixed results. Under Jackson this season, the Ravens scored significantly higher than without him, tallying 116 points with him and only 40 without him over several games.
With a crucial game against the Cincinnati Bengals looming, the question of Jackson’s ability to play remains open. The Bengals match could be critical for the Ravens’ standing in the AFC North, and Jackson’s history of strong performances against them underscores his importance to the team.
